Mango
Dessert

Cool down with this Simmons'
Family Favorite! It's a must try. The combination
of sweet fruit with pieces of hot peppers from
the sauce is incredible.
Ingredients:
1 ½
- cups frozen mango pieces 375
mL
1 - cup Cool Whip dessert topping 250 mL
4 oz - spreadable cream cheese 125 g
dash of fresh lime juice
1/4 cup - Splenda low calorie sweetener 50 mL
1 tablespoon - Basils Fire
and Brimstone (Mild) Sauce 15mL
Method:
Combine
all ingredients in a food processor.
Process on medium speed,
using the Pulse button until all ingredients are
well blended.
Serve immediately.
This light and tasty
desert topping can be used for dipping your
favorite fruit or vegetables. Also use it to top
shortcakes, summer pies or to fill dessert
crepes. The possibilities are endless.
Left over portions may be frozen in an air tight
container. A couple of hours before use, remove
from freezer and place in the top shelf of your
refrigerator .
Note: for
best results, use fresh ripe but firm mangoes.
Peel, slice and freeze mango pieces for a couple
of hours or until ready to use.
